When a friend was ready to completely rebrand their Wealthy Street coffee shop into an unapologetically raw, 90s-nostalgia and music-infused concept, Slowpoke Studio was asked to create the visuals. They hired local artist, Lisa Pavia, to create a scorpion illustration and we turned it into a high-utility identity system.

The project has a full responsive logo suite, typography, and a gritty brand voice that extends into a rebellious merchandise line with items like "Scorpion Hearts Cult" apparel, pins, koozies, and custom loyalty cards. The Scorpion was brought into the physical space by hand-lettering a chalk menu, painting a giant logo on the storefront glass, and an arc of custom type reading "Coffee for Badass Dreamers."
