The Blue Jay
Boutique Hotel | Grand Rapids, MI
Visual Identity | Sign | Mural
A new boutique hotel needs more than a logo, it needs a sense of belonging. The goal was to build a high-end identity that felt like it had been part of the neighborhood’s character for decades, not just days.
We developed a custom type suite, logo mark, and a luxury palette that anchors the brand. But we didn't stop at the screen. To activate the space, I hand-painted the logo directly onto the brick as a heritage sign, respecting the brick texture of the building. We finished the story with a hand-painted fence mural on the patio, turning a functional barrier into a cohesive brand story.
